This was the erratum issued on November 20th 2015: http://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/269943-unit-f585-stimulus-material-june-2016-erratum-notice.pdf

OCR examination board have recently updated the F585 Global Economy stimulus material and have uploaded an Erratum Notice onto their website stating that there are errors in the pre-release Special Study Material which they had already issued.  This concerns p.8 on Extract 3, in particular the data in Fig. 3.1 of the stimulus material.  The date change from 2001 to 2000 and the rounding up of 83.8 to 84 are insignificant but the changes in figures for mean years of schooling, expected years of schooling and GNI per capita are all significant since they lead to different conclusions about the trend in the statistics.

We have, therefore, updated our Companion for F585 Global Economy June 2016 Pre-release Material on Globalisation Issues and Zambian Economy to take into account these changes from OCR.

For those working on the AQA BUSS4 Research theme… The ONS produced a statistical bulletin on E-commerce and ICT Activity.  The most recent bulletin (relating to 2013) can be accessed here:
http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/dcp171778_387514.pdf Students should subsequently look out for the 2014 bulletin due to be published at the end of November 2015.

The OCR F297 strategic management June 2016 case study is on a recycling business called Verdant Ghar Ltd

A great article relevant to numerous Business Studies courses.  It highlights the impact of external social factors on businesses, which provide threats to some, and opportunities for others.  It concerns the trend for healthy eating and drinking and the negative impact this has had on the sales of Coca-cola.

A relatively useful article for use with the AQA BUSS4 Pre-released Research Theme on Manufacturing in the UK – some snippets of information on the impact of exchange rates on BAE’s sales and government investment - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-31542179
