“Claire came in to run sessions for our AS and A2 students on the case study units for OCR.  The sessions were spot on in terms of targeting exactly what the students need to know to do well in the exam.  All learners made a great deal of progress at all levels and the students left enthused and better equipped for the exams.  I would heartily recommend APT”. (Yavneh College – April 2015)

“I was lucky enough to meet Mrs Claire Baker the CEO of APT and sit in her F297 masterclasses, students were given lots of resources to take away!  Mrs Baker knows these case studies like the back of her hand and the lectures were well placed, informative and bursting with content.  We also bought the very comprehensive APT walkthrough guide for every student – they have found this useful in class discussions and it has saved our business department hundreds of hours of preparation”.  (S Hilton, Revision Station)

Changes Made by OCR to VGL’s Dividends & Retained Profit Figure for 2015

Changes Made by OCR to VGL’s Dividends & Retained Profit Figure for 2015

On 1 January 2016: OCR stated (on the following link: http://ocr.org.uk/ocr-for/exams-officers/support-and-tools/siu/gce-business-studies-111215/) that: ‘Appendix 2 has incorrect transposed figures shown in the column for 2015 under both Dividends and Retained Profit.  Dividends for 2015 should read 3.8 (£m) and Retained Profit should read 1.0 (£m)’.

Make sure you are using the correct case study and the correct APT Analysis.  This is a link to the updated OCR F297 case study: http://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/251932-unit-f297-pre-release-case-study-june-2016.pdf

The changes OCR made to the dividends and retained profit figure affected our original APT Analysis (published in December): page 6 on stakeholders and corresponding bullet point 7 (under ‘Strengths’) on page 57 of the APT Analysis.  These pages were updated accordingly and your copy of the analysis should clearly state that these pages were updated.
