The sum of the total amount of money put into the business by the owners of the business (capital) and profit kept within the business (retained earnings or profit) and any reserves. This is where all the funds have come from to purchase the business’s assets besides borrowed capital and, therefore, capital employed should equal the Net Assets figure.
